Get a Bachelor's in Nursing for Less!
Save time and money on your bachelor’s degree in nursing through SMC's unique transfer partnership with Andrews University. You can even use work experience for learning credit.
How It Works
First, earn your associate degree in nursing at SMC.
One of the best in the region, SMC's associate degree in nursing program is nationally accredited (ACEN). Our students are taught by experienced instructors and have access to newly renovated state-of-the-art simulation labs that give them hands-on experience before ever entering a clinical setting.
SMC's low tuition and multiple scholarship opportunities mean students can graduate without a lot of debt.
Then earn your bachelor's degree through the Andrews University transfer partnership with SMC.
Licensed registered nurses who have graduated from the SMC nursing program and have passed the NCLEX-RN exam can complete their bachelor's degree through SMC's unique partnership with Andrews University.

This project was supported, in whole or in part, by federal award number SLFRP0127 awarded to The State of Michigan by the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
Save Time
Up to 92 credits can be transferred into the Andrews bachelor's of nursing program from SMC. (Traditional community college-to-university transfers only transfer up to 60 credits.) Not only do you pay SMC's low tuition rate for the majority of your classes, significantly lowering the overall cost of the program, but the more credits that transfer, the more quickly you can get through the program.
Work While Getting Your BSN
Students who receive their associate degree and pass the NCLEX-RN exam can work as registered nurses (RNs) while pursuing their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from Andrews. Students who pass the NCLEX-RN exam also get additional credit toward their BSN degree.
Save Money On Your Degree
SMC students in the Andrews BSN program pay Andrews' discounted tuition credit, allowing students to complete their BSN for around $10,000. This is a significantly lower cost compared to tuition and programs at similar schools.
