Course Description
Prerequisite: Acceptance into the Cardiovascular Technology program. This course prepares the student with the fundamental concepts to practice safe patient care methods within hospital settings. Topics include general patient care, patient communication, orientation to clinical environments, medical emergencies, contrast introduction, pharmaceuticals, radiation safety, and ethical and legal issues. [Semester Offered: Fall]NOTE: Students enroll for this course through Michigan Colleges Online. Tuition rates and course fees are billed at the MWTEC program rate by the provider institution.
