Course Description
Prerequisite: Acceptance into the Radiography Technology program. An introduction to radiographic positioning fundamentals, terminology, and procedures. The study of the fundamentals of patient care and handling is integrated with study of the basic radiographic procedures of the thorax, abdomen, upper and lower extremities, pelvic girdle, spinal column, cranium, facial bones, and sinuses. Digital imaging basics are studied as well. Practice of the basic skills required in these procedures will be done in the campus x-ray labs. A cumulative final will be given the last week of classes. [Semesters Offered: Spring]NOTE: Students enroll for this course through Michigan Colleges Online. Tuition rates and course fees are billed at the MWTEC program rate by the provider institution.
