Course Description
Prerequisites: None. This course prepares students to respond effectively to medical and environmental emergencies in athletic and recreational settings. Emphasis is placed on CPR, AED use, first aid for injuries and sudden illness, and sports-specific safety considerations such as concussion management and heat illness prevention. Students will gain practical, hands-on experience and earn nationally recognized certifications upon successful completion. [Semesters Offered: Fall, Spring, Summer]
