Health Services
Start your health-related career with a degree that transfers to nearly any school in the state.
Want to work in the health care industry but don’t want to be a doctor or scientist? Most jobs in the health care industry do not require a doctorate degree, but do require an understanding of the health care system, medical terminology, and the human body.
Whatever your health-related career goals, the health services degree will start you off on the right foot with a thorough introduction to the field—all at half the cost of most schools.

About the Health Services Degree
SMC’s instruction is among the best in the region. Whatever health-related field you choose to pursue, SMC will prepare you for advanced study with a strong foundation in the basics of biology and anatomy, coupled with new, state-of-the-art facilities and a personal touch.
In this program, you can complete the pre-requisite courses required by four-year schools for half the cost. You’ll explore the study of the human body, including human development, anatomy, and physiology. You’ll also gain foundational knowledge of the health care system, with courses in medical terminology and ethics.
This is a two-year degree program designed for transfer to four-year schools. With the assistance of your academic advisor, it can be adapted to transfer to nearly any school in the country. Learn more about transferring here.
