Bass Fishing
Bass Fishing at SMC
Established in 2021, the SMC Bass Fishing Team began competing in summer 2022. During its first year, the team won the College Bass Tour Championship, placed third in the Major League Fishing Open on Lake of the Ozarks, and qualified for the 2023 MLF National Championship on Lake Tohopekaliga.
The program is fully funded, and we are proud to be able to provide financial support to our student bass anglers as they represent SMC in Bassmaster, MLF, and ACA tournaments across the country. We have a school owned bass boat that is available for team members to use, and we also have fishing scholarship opportunities for incoming freshmen.

SMC offers more than $1 million in scholarships to students each year, ranging from talent and team scholarships (including bass fishing) to academic scholarships and more.
